About the position: The CFO directs the fiscal functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and appropriate financial management techniques and practices while being guided by the overall strategic objectives of the organization. They will have an understanding of all aspects of the business and assist with providing strategic direction for the financial activities of the company. The CFO will guide the financial accounting, control, reporting, planning, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, treasury and tax activities. The CFO will be an important advisor to other executives regarding financial planning and measurement of business performance.
Essential Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization’s fiscal functions and performance. • Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends. • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions and/or mergers. • Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position. • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism. • Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the company may enter. • Provide leadership, direction and management to the finance team. • Assure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations. • Serve as both a financial and a business advisor to the Executive Team on the financial implications and risks related to key issues and strategic decisions. • Enhance reporting and monitoring systems to improve financial and operating performance. • Manage and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). • Manage information systems, infrastructure and projects. • Develop and provide operating and financial metrics, trend identification and analysis, performance assessments and feedback—with the ability to translate analysis into actionable plans. • Deliver reporting of monthly results and roll up of information. • Ensure that proper financial controls are in place and that all accounting requirements are met, and assure that company assets are protected. • Drive continuous examination and implementation of measures to drive costs out of the business. • Develop, refine and monitor corporate policies and guidelines for accounting and control to ensure accurate, thorough and timely financial reporting. • Develop and implement risk management strategy balancing commercial insurance and retained risk. • Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place. • Oversee tax strategy and compliance. Essential Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related major (Finance or Accounting preferred) and/or 10 yrs. of progressive leadership experience preferred • CPA preferred
